Protecting Our Planet: The Key to a Sustainable Future

   As a student, I can help our environment by starting small — picking up trash might seem like a small act but if we do it altogether, we can make a BIG impact. Yes! You read it right! We can help the Earth BIGTIME with just our 'small' acts of kindness and courage. Have you ever imagined living in a community wherein when you go for a walk outside, all you will see is the beautiful view and not a single trash getting blown away by the wind? How refreshing that is, right? So, if you still want to witness our environment in a better state than it is right now, then why not join me and help the environment together? Come on and let's do 'small' acts of kindess altogether!

As a student, I participate in school activities that emphasizes cleanliness. Participating in cleanliness as a student is essential for several reasons. One is it promotes health by reducing illness and creating a more hygienic environment. And, a tidy space also enhances focus and productivity, making it easier to study.

This picture was during our Campus Clean-Up Drive that was conducted by the SSLG. By participating in Clean-Up Drives, we can maintain a clean and peaceful environment, be it inside the school premises, coastal or anywhere.

I am also a part of the MAPEH Club where we're having our weekly Campus Clean-Up Drive every friday. By doing this, our club contributes cleanliness in our campus that helps create a better environment not only to us but to the whole school.

In this photo, we are planting seeds. We are actually tasked to do this but we took it as an opportunity to help the environment and planted more seeds than we were asked to. See? This very small act can make a big help to the betterment of our planet.

This was during the International Coastal Clean-Up and Tree Planting Drive that was conducted on September 27, 2024. As a news writer in our online school paper, I was asked to make a cover about this activity and while doing so, I also helped in planting palm trees and picking up garbages. 

    Taking care of our environment is crucial for  securing our future earth. However, we can't avoid facing environmental challenges such as climate change, global warming, pollution and many more. I, as a part of the youth who will still live to see the future generation, have the power to shape the future. We might as well start helping by joining various activities in our community that helps sustain  the environment. Embracing our role on the Earth is not just a responsibility but an investment to our own well-being and for the future generation. Together, we can create a resilient and thriving environment for all.

Exploring the Internet: A Journey Through History and Blogging

In the first quarter, I have also managed to learn the history of the internet from its inception to the current era where it has become a global village tool for communication. Along these lines, I have been able to learn the contributions as well as the milestones along the way, for instance, the making of the TCP/IP protocols and the coming of the world wide web. This advancement in technology amazes me .also, I was able to Create a blog with the help of Blogger.com, which not only increased my technical expertise but encouraged my creativity in putting my thoughts down in writing in a digital form.

I endured various hurdles, especially with regards to the technical components of blogging and time management. For example, at first, I was unable to easily use the platform and design my blog the way I wanted. I also found it difficult since there were other coursework that I had to do as I was doing that which involved writing a blog, which was quite overwhelming, and I could not give attention to my loads at the same time.

In order to cope with these problems, I reserved certain time periods on weekly basis for the main purpose of practicing how to use Blogger.com. I also contacted several students that also had experience on this and found some help on the internet, which proved useful in solving some issues I had and also gave me some insights on what to include in my blog. As long as a task did not seem too difficult to complete, I was able to keep moving forward and thus, feel good towards my ability to accomplish blogging.

In the future, however, I am positively working towards improving on what I have learned while taking blogging to a higher level. I will also try to include a blog section, where I will keep my readers updated regularly, and I will encourage interaction through posting topics that require persistent discussion. By having a good strategy on the message that I want to recap through the blog, I will be able to manage it properly and will attempt to keep up with developments in the web, while documenting experiences for other people.

Together4Teachers: United in Inspiration, Strengthening Futures

Broadly appreciating the theme of National Teachers Month 2024 ‘Together4Teachers,’ we appreciate the role of teachers in our society. In every education system, there is a teacher who focuses all of his or her attention on bearers of sickness which is potential future generations. Their work is not limited to lessons only as they develop systems within which every pupil is allowed to grow within and without, in the head and the heart. Such impeccable service is worth commendation.

Teachers help such structures to exist in the society. They are responsible for molding future leaders, as well as kind-hearted people. They invite students to think analytically, to use their imaginations, to be vigorous and, above all, to be willing to do battle with the odds to get what they want out of life. Every lesson in the classroom stands as a building block of the minds of the coming veneration through, in their turn, classroom activity, and thus their activity is important for the development of communities and the country.

This is a time to remember all our teachers. However, advocacy in this respect should also be addressed to our teachers – their welfare and professional growth. In “Together4Teachers”, this is where the community understands the value of the contribution and makes sure that members have the tools needed to be effective. Employing such an attitude, empowering the teacher will not only support the teacher but also cement the very pillar that is education. Let us appreciate and respect our teachers as they work hard in bringing the changes that will help us all in the future.

 Philippines' Resiliency Through Autonomy

        The Philippines has been a prey for numerous predator countries for such a long period of time. Although it came to this, the Philippines demonstrated remarkable resilience in the face of domination and strife. The country was well-known for its adaptability and strength against foreign control and internal conflicts. Despite this, the Filipino nation maintained its cultural identity and customs despite more that three centuries of Spanish domination that enforced fresh social arrangements, religious practices and economic systems. Local communities showed their toughness by always opposing colonial repression which caused many uprisings and revolutions against the Spaniards. The short American period also brought new forms of governance and economies but Filipinos still managed to preserve their independence.

            In response to this, the Pinoys way out of the problems raised by colonialism was a mix of both opposition and acceptance which paved their way towards autonomy. Several revolts and revolutionary movements such as the one seen in the Philippines at 1896 and later responding to America’s colonialism appeared in the 19th century as way of rejecting invasive dominion of foreign authorities over the land owned rightfully by the Filipinos. These movements served not only as means through which people fought for freedom from colonialism but also help them realise a common nationhood that unified them amidst great diversities found within an archipelago made up of several islands. In order to effectively counter colonial domination, revolutionary authorities were established and in 1899 a constitution known as the Malolos was drafted accordingly. However, there were many obstacles encountered in the course of attaining idependence including infighting between different fractions as well as difficulty in handling intricate global politics.

    Furthermore, the difficulties faced during the colonial period and after it were a lot and different. The fight for independence was stained by conflicts within as well as with the colonial powers, hence, periods of instability and uncertainty existed. The Philippines was under new forms of governance and political realities after the Spanish-American War and subsequent treaty of Paris which saw America took control over it. War and economic dislocations made it hard to join dissimilar regions and cultures to form a single nation. Social inequalities had long been in existence while colonial exploitation still affected its development. Nonetheless, throughout this colonial era, the Philippines showed great strength that would eventually lead them to self-rule at confronting challenges through courage and adjustment.

First of all, I would like to congratulate you on winning the election and becoming the 17th president of the Philippines. I hope you'll do well because majority of the Filipinos gave you their trust to lead the country.

Unity was the main message of your campaign, and I hope you'll make it possible for all Filipinos have their eyes on you . Many says that your a tax-evader and a thief. I hope that you will disprove the accusations thrown against you. As the head of the nation, I pray that you will exemplify integrity and honesty. Please make wise decisions with clear conscience.

 Embracing My Assets

     Within the life of existense, I am a grace woven from the love of my parents. Born on the chilly night of December 5th in the year 2008 in the nostalgic city of Vigen, l had gladly accepted the life that had been blessed to me. At age of 15, I find myself engulfed in an endless array of passions—reading, crafting, and exploring the world full of creative ideas. I am deeply engrossed with crocheting as I always feel the satisfaction I'm craving whenever I create an art. I find the beauty of these interests of mine through every creative knots that I make with my hook to which I always find fulfilling. Come along with me and explore my fields of discovery and expression where the art of lifte resides.

     Deep within me, I am a curious soul. My heart beats to understand and create with interest. I always feel contented and fascinated when discovering new ideas and putting it into life. I love being flexible and open-minded. People often call me straightforward to which I admit. I never knew how to sugarcoat as it makes me feel like I'm a hypocrite. Telling people the truth and letting them face the reality was never a problem, for I embrace the diversity of humanity with their stories as I try to understand their perspective and try to find the right words to say. Because I believe that there is always a beauty in everything and all we had to do is embrace and enrich it. With this personality of mine, I can freely be confident about it especially with me, being a campus journalist. I had also built a family in my journey of being a campus journalist, news writer, to be specific. 

Also, I have friends that I treasure who accepted me wholeheartedly. Our bond is something that I would not trade for anything.

    Looking ahead, I envision a future overflowing with possibilities. With my love for creating ad thirst for new kowledge. I aspire to carve a path that blend with my passions while ponding contributions to our society. I envison myself being a trusted and a great civil engineer, helping families to build their homes or even building and infrastractures that is of use. Swallowed by the satisfaction of creating, I believe that beng a certified civil engineer compliments me as passion is for creating. By the time I reach it, I promise to myself to put my family above all first to fulfill the promises I made to myself when I was younger. As a daughter, I wanted to fulfill my responsibilities to my family. As I embark on this journey., I am inspired by optimisms which nourishes me, guided by the power of preserverance and authenticty.
